| Shaking Fist Productions strives to offer opportunities for emerging talents to entertain and educate the West Michigan Community through the Arts. It is through the vision of the founders Rebecka Wenzel and Matthew T. Allan and the guidance of the 5 member board of directors to see this purpose through. What qualifies Rebecka and Matthew you ask... Well, both are graduates of Grand Valley State University's Theatre program. Both were also recipients of GVSU's Shakespeare Scholarship. Beyond the hundreds of hours they dedicated to Grand Valley's Theatre Department, they also spent some time working with numerous Grand Rapids community theatres. Shaking Fist Productions successfully debuted with Bruce Kane's Opposites Attract at the 10 Weston Theatre in Grand Rapids, MI. |

| Matthew is a 2001 graduate of Grand Valley State University with a B.A. in Theatre. He was a Shakespeare Scholarship recipient as well as a nominee for the American College Theatre Festival's Irene Ryan Award. Some of Matthew's Grand Rapids production credits include: GVSU - A Comedy of Errors, Durang! Durang?, The 4th Accomplice, Macbeth; Shaking Fist Productions - Opposites Attract, The Guys, I Hate Hamlet, Baby With the Bathwater; Lost in the Cove Productions - Picasso at the Lapin Agile; Heritage Theatre Group - The Three Musketeers. Matthew has also taken classes at the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago as well as played the role of Mr. Henderson in You Can't Take it With You. He is looking forward to working with the emerging talent in the Kentwood area. |
| Rebecka Wenzel studied Theatre at Grand Valley State University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre in 2002. Her GVSU credits include Much Ado About Nothing, Major Barbara, Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, Adrift, and HurlyBurly .She co-founded Shaking Fist Productions in 2002, operating out of the small venue of 10 Weston Theatre. Rebecka's Shaking Fist Production credits include Opposites Attract, I Hate Hamlet, Baby with the Bathwater, The Guys, and Frankie and Johnnie in the Clair de Lune. Her work has been seen on multiple West Michigan stages including Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, Wealthy Theatre, 10 Weston Theatre, Louis Armstrong Theatre, and Greenville Community Center. Her most recent production was seen on the Greenville Community Center stage directing the Christmas production of Toy School. She is excited to bring the joy of Theatre and the Arts to Kentwood and the surrounding areas. |
